Svensk Galopp’s ‘GaloppApp’ registers all Swedish horses that are temporarily sent out of the country for training, sales and covering, for example. At present the list shows that Swedish breeders have sent 42 mares to be covered by Danish stallions.
In addition, 13 have been sent to be covered in Germany, plus two each to France and Ireland.
Among the prominent Swedish mares sent to be covered in Denmark this year are feature race winners such as Ascot Brass (Juniper Tree) and Silent Night (Night Of Thunder).
