Two of the biggest names in European racing this year, Daryz (Sea The Stars) and Bow Echo (Night Of Thunder), have both been announced for stud duty in 2027. Daryz becomes a stable companion of his own sire, while the stud farm for Bow Echo has yet to be settled.

Daryz goes to Aga Khan Studs’ Gilltown Stud in Ireland, where his sire Sea The Stars has stood throughout his entire stud career. Fees for both have yet to be announced.
Bow Echo has become a new stallion for Darley, but the stud farm has yet to be settled. Both Dalham Hall Stud in Newmarket and Kildangan Stud in Co Kildare, where his sire Night Of Thunder stands, have been named as possibilities. Bow Echo played his part in securing his sire a first European champion sire title. Here too, no fee has been announced yet.
Another of this year’s big European stars, Ombudsman (Night Of Thunder), is also expected to go to stud in 2027, but it has not yet been announced where.
One last run awaits, however, in the Breeders’ Cup Turf (Gr.1) in the United States on 31 October. Here Ombudsman is the bookmakers’ clear favourite at odds of around 2.25.
