The newly started professional trainer Stine Schäfing has, on the back of an impressive start to the season with a strike rate of 33 per cent from nine starts, once again expanded her stable. This time with a two-year-old colt by the double Group 1 winner Twilight Son.

“We have bought him privately through Morten Buskop, and he is entered for the Swedish Derby series in 2026”, Stine tells GalopSport.
The colt was bought back in the ring on 1 May at Tattersalls Guineas Breeze Up Sale in Newmarket, where he was consigned by Ardglas Stables.
He is out of the unraced Ulysses daughter Victory Clap, who in turn is out of the Irish champion two-year-old and Cheveley Park Stakes (Gr.1) winner Hooray (Invincible Spirit), from the same female line as the July Cup (Gr.1) winner Shaquille (Charm Spirit).

In 2025 Stine Schäfing has already managed to win races at all the Danish tracks which have staged racing so far. Mercur (Sir Wilberfourse) won on Klampenborg’s opening day on 12 April, and since then Worres Willy (Wilshire Boulevard) has won both at the season opener in Odense and most recently on 2 May in Aarhus.
The newly minted professional trainer at Fyens Væddeløbsbane now has seven two-year-olds in training, which makes up half of her entire string.
