Caturra filly for Kieran Watson at Øvrevoll

Irishman Kieran Watson, who holds an amateur trainer’s licence at Øvrevoll, added a 2-year-old filly by the Mehmas son Caturra to his stable last week. The filly was bought after the Tattersalls Guineas Breeze Up in Newmarket, having gone back into the sales ring, Norwegian Jannicke Eilertsen tells GalopSport.

The bay filly is the first foal out of the unraced Dance Of Joy (Exceed And Excel), who is herself out of the Princess Elizabeth Stakes (Gr.3) winner Laugh Aloud (Dubawi).

Laugh Aloud is a daughter of the Park Stakes (Gr.3) third Opera Comique and a half-sister to the Arlington Million (G1) winner Debussy, from the same female family as the Group 1-winning stallion Belmez among others.

Kieran Watson already has five horses on his training list in Norway, three of them 2-year-olds: Ebony (Kameko), Hannibalatthegates (Profitable) and Shogun (Moohaajim).
