The Cathrine Erichsen-trained Big Chance was a huge favourite in the Drømmemilen, and Oliver Wilson made sure the bay gelding did not disappoint his many supporters.
Big Chance (Sporting Chance) won for a first prize of NOK 319,250, which took the Norwegian-bred horse’s total earnings to more than 800,000 from just 11 starts, six of which he has now won.
Big Chance is owned by Stall Fun Game and was bred by Buck Racing. He is trained by Øvrevoll’s defending champion trainer Cathrine Erichsen, who therefore did not leave Norwegian Derby day without a winner.
