Jydsk Væddeløbsbane in Aarhus closes the Danish thoroughbred season on Saturday 14 November with five races and 40 entries from 32 horses. In the feature, Købmand Herman Sallings Mindeløb – Den Jydske Vinterfavorit, Lea Olsen holds ten of the twelve entries.
In the year’s last two-year-old race in Denmark, Lea Olsen has Azisol, Chacaya, Go Run Torkdahl, Happytobealive, Lady Nicole, Priscilla Torkdahl, Othello Torkdahl, Bianca Torkdahl, Mandalay and Queen Artemis entered. The two remaining names on the list belong to Melissa Vesterholm with Golden Exposure and Mocca Queen.
Azisol tops the list on a handicap mark of 79, but she runs on Sunday in the Appel Au Maitre Svenskt Kriterium at Jägersro in the colours of Lars Jakobsen and Chris L. Petersen – six days before Aarhus. Lea Olsen last won the Vinterfavorit in 2023 with Lord Of Denmark.
The race’s last two winners are back on the programme, only in older company. Makaveli, who won in 2024, is entered for Aarhus Store Handicap over 2000 metres, while last year’s winner Dream On Sally is on the list for both Sprinter Finalen 2026 and Handicap Class 4.
Declarations take place on Monday 9 November.
