Jack Dawson won Manoustielöpning by nine lengths — and Castro closed with a double

Unbeaten in two starts, and this time by nine lengths — Francisco Castro ended the day with another two-year-old winner

Jack Dawson (Cotai Glory) is still unbeaten. Francisco Castro’s two-year-old gelding won Sunday’s Manoustielöpning over 1200 metres at Jägersro by nine lengths, and half an hour later the stable closed the day with the Danish-owned Shadow Dancer (Swipe) in the two-year-old maiden.

Maikel Narvaez Bravo rode Jack Dawson, who has now won both his starts.

The first came in a maiden at Jägersro on 16 August by four and a half lengths, and in between he was withdrawn from Svealandlöpning on 20 September because of the going.

The first prize was SEK 100,000.

L.T. Racing filled the places behind him. Persuade Me (Cotai Glory) was second with Jacob Johansen for Veronika Jandová, and Kohira (Kodi Bear) third with Oliver Wilson for Patrick Wilson. Manoustielöpning thus also became a double for the sire Cotai Glory.

Jack Dawson is owned by Stall Storahultsvägen and was bred by Lynn Lodge Stud.

In the day’s last race, the maiden for two-year-olds over the same distance, Shadow Dancer (Swipe) won by three-quarters of a length from Veronika Jandová’s Space Memory (Space Blues).

Lorenzo Putzulu rode, and the win was worth SEK 45,000 plus a breeders’ bonus of SEK 68,000 — the biggest of the day.

Shadow Dancer, owned by Danish Horseracing & Breeding, was bred by Maria Richert in Sweden.

Francisco Castro also had Wasp (Profitable) second in Malmö Hösthandicap and Papa Joe (Kodi Bear) third in Rosengårdlöpning.
