If you have scanned Klampenborg’s card for Saturday’s season finale in vain for Oliver Wilson’s name, it is because the Danish top jockey is travelling to Cologne instead, booked for the ride on Jan-Erik Neuroth’s recent Listed winner Zakopane in the Group 3 Silbernes Pferd.

Stall Perlen’s four-year-old son of Zarak meets eight rivals over 3,000 metres, and he comes straight from a comfortable win in the SFK Jubileumlöpning (L) over 2,400 metres at Jägersro.
Zakopane won the Svenskt St. Leger last year, and he travels to Cologne on a German handicap mark of 90. That is 6.5 kilos below the Marcel Weiss-trained Lordano (Adlerflug), who does, however, also carry three kilos more than his Scandinavian rival.
The total purse for the Silbernes Pferd is €55,000 with €32,000 to the winner.
The race is run on Saturday afternoon at 14.30.
