At Øvrevoll on Thursday evening, Bling Enterprise's four-year-old son of Galileo justified strong favouritism and landed the Classic over 2,830 metres for Niels Petersen and Carlos Lopez ahead of Light Garden and Mauna Queen – while Derby winner Super Smooth finished last of the four.
After Saturday's racing and My Fortune's dominant win, their horses have now earned more than two million kroner in total this year. That makes them Denmark's third most successful training partnership overall, and Bettina and Kim are set to beat their own earnings record from 2022 of 2.1 million kroner.
Entries close on Monday for the last classic of the year at Øvrevoll, Erik O. Steen Norwegian Oaks. The 2,400-metre contest is worth 350,000 Norwegian kroner in total prize money, and on top of that Stutteri Hjortebo offer a free covering by their Swedish Derby winner Red Cactus for the winning filly.

Friday's celebration of the handicappers at Klampenborg produced exactly the headline it had promised: In the Sensommer Cup, Bettina Andersen's Silver Legend delivered as the red-hot favourite and put in their place the very rivals who finished ahead of him in the Golden Mile (L) in May. The evening's three richly endowed handicap finals all went to Sweden, while the two-year-old race was won by Young Eagle for L.T. Racing and Veronika Jandová.
Denmark's Derby and Breeders’ Cup winner Slava Ukraini will embark on a new career as a stallion at Stald Nørager in North Jutland in 2027. There he will be stabled side by side with fellow Thoroughbred stallions Efesos and Giant Sandman at a stud that is home to more than 50 broodmares.
