Extra day added To Goffs Sportsman’s Sale

The Sportsman’s Sale consistently has the second highest average price in Ireland for yearlings after the Orby and benefits significantly from the crossover of purchasers already at Goffs for one of Europe’s premier yearling sales.

Chief Executive Henry Beeby commented:

“Buyers will not want to miss yearling sales week at Goffs this year.  The Orby offers an exceptional selection of some of the best yearlings in Europe, while the Sportsman’s Sale features top quality commercial yearlings.  Feedback from vendors based on the strength of the Sportsman’s market in recent years has led us to extend the sale to two days by offering a Part 2 section.

This “yearling sales week” is an attractive prospect for purchasers from Europe and further afield, and will be promoted as such by the teams at Goffs and ITM to ensure that Goffs is a one-stop shop for yearling buyers travelling to Ireland this autumn”.

The Goffs Sportsman’s Yearling Sale will now be held over two days immediately following the Orby Sale, creating an appealing four-day Irish yearling sales week for purchasers.

The established sale will be supplemented by Part 2 on Friday 30th September so offering another vibrant option for vendors following the huge success of the sale and application for places in recent years.
