Paulyn dispersal at Goffs November Sale

One of the most significant events in international bloodstock this year will take place at GoffsNovember Sale, as Ireland’s premier thoroughbred auction house has been selected to conduct the bloodstock dispersal of Paulyn Ltd on behalf of Paul Makin.

The outstanding Paulyn Dispersal of 25 blue blooded thoroughbreds will feature Group 1 Darley Irish Oaks winner Chicquita and the Galileo half-sister to Group 1 Investec Derby winner Pour Moi, alongside some stunning broodmares including Group 1 winner Fleeting Spirit in foal to Galileo, the Sadler’s Wells mare Song in foal to Frankel, and Group 1 Prix De L’Abbaye winner Gilt Edge Girl in foal to Redoute’s Choice.

A Galileo filly out of Fleeting Spirit heads the yearlings on offer, while the world’s leading sire features strongly in the foal draft too along with Montjeu, Dansili and Oasis Dream. A number of horses in training will also be catalogued including the Grade 2 winner Chief Havoc.

The Paulyn Dispersal will be consigned at Goffs by The Castlebridge Consignment.

Commenting on the Paulyn Dispersal, Goffs Chief Executive Henry Beeby said:

“Rarely is such a superior collection of horses offered for sale at public auction. It is a privilege and an honour to be appointed as the Auction House of choice for The Paulyn Dispersal and we are absolutely thrilled that Paul Makin has put his faith in the Goffs Team and our unrivalled promotion and customer care.

I often repeat the message that top class horses stand out at Goffs and when given the horses we deliver all the major international buyers. We have proven this time and again, most recently with Banimpire, and we are confident that this year’s Goffs November Sale will be another excellent example. We have already received a host of high class entries for the sale, and now with the exceptional Paulyn Dispersal as the jewel in the crown, it truly is a mouth-watering prospect”.

Goffs November Sale sold the three highest priced foals in Europe in the last ten years, while the Breeding Stock section has seen the number of six figure lots almost double in the past two years and in 2011 the superb race mare Banimpire sold for €2.3 million.

As the announcement was made Paul Makin said:

“All of the Paulyn breeding stock is already in Ireland and by the time of the Sale all of our racing horses, some as yet unraced as 2-year olds, will be on farms in Ireland, our Consignor is Irish and the Irish Government need a boost. I love Ireland and I hope this dispersal, without reserves, will encourage other Vendors to come along for the ride … we will make money …. and it should be good fun!”

Further details will be announced in due course.
