Carlos Lopez did not get the chance to earn Tandari Classic points in the Bucherer Danish Derby on Saturday, but he struck back in the Svenskt Oaks a day later, making every yard of the running aboard Lady Irene.
Lopez holds on to his lead in the jockeys’ competition, 11 points clear of Per-Anders Gråberg, while Jules Mobian, with his Derby triumph in the irons on Cosmopolitan (Make Believe), shot up into third place.
The next leg of the Tandari Classic is the Norsk Derby on 23 August.
