Sunday’s V64 pool at Jägersro opens with a three-year-old handicap over 2,200 metres, where the top weight of 62 kilos is carried by Fredrik Reuterskiöld’s Ferrari BF. Also in the field are Bettina Andersen’s Svenskt Derby runner-up Missing and Lennart J:r Reuterskiöld’s Svenskt Derby Consolation winner Icefall.

Both Missing (Red Cactus) and Icefall (Juniper Tree) come into the contest on a handicap mark of 80 and carry three kilos less than Ferrari BF (Mo Town). Missing has run twice since his second place in Svenskt Derby, both times on turf.
On 1 August he was eighth behind Cosmopolitan (Make Believe) in the Danish Derby, and most recently he finished ninth in the Breeders’ Trophy Classic behind Bruce Almighty (Appel Au Maitre).
Icefall got no further than the bend past the stands in the Bucherer Danish Derby before he lost Maikel Narvaez Bravo. Airborne Racing’s bay gelding has not run since, but has won his two most recent starts on dirt and, just like Missing, may still have plenty of improvement in him.

The Birgitte Nielsen-trained Jazoo (Juniper Tree) won in dominant fashion by five lengths in easier company on 29 August and lines up this time off the bottom weight of 52 kilos under Evelina Rönnlund.
In addition, Rikke Rohbach Bonde’s Sayhello Carlras (Hello Youmzain) runs on dirt for the first time and is 10.5 kilos out of the handicap, while Nina Lindberg Lensvik’s Patas De Aranha (Sioux Nation) has to follow up his fine effort in the Norwegian Derby, where he was sixth behind Super Smooth (Quarterback).
Sunday at Jägersro offers eight races, and the day opens with a two-year-old race over 1,200 metres. There, Francisco Castro will be a hot favourite to win his fourth two-year-old race in a row on his home track with the son of Coulsty, High Coast Love, who faces just two rivals.
