Home-track double for Tina Mortensen, and a treble for Matilde Kløve in Odense

Tina Mortensen, who this season has returned to her former home track in Odense, took care of half of Sunday’s four contests on Funen. Amateur rider Matilde Kløve took three wins in a row.

It was precisely Tina Mortensen and Matilde Kløve who combined for Sunday’s first winner, Lars Chr. Nielsen’s 6-year-old Pura Vida (Gustav Klimt), who beat Karsten Johansen’s Totally Convinced (Appel Au Maitre) and Susanne Johansen’s Timeout (Juniper Tree) by a length.

In the following contest Matilde Kløve was first past the post again, this time in the saddle on the Mikkel Johansen-trained Sugar Crust (Barocci), who defeated Go Get Excited (Go Go Gadget) and Napoleon (Al Shemali).

And then it became a genuine hat-trick for Matilde in the main event, the Karl K. Pedersen Memorial Race, where she rode the Stine Schäfing-trained Strauss (Go Go Gadget) to a half-length victory over Sandie Kjær’s duo Alakay (Wilshire Boulevard) and Royal Dane (Wilshire Boulevard).

Finally, Tina Mortensen ended the day as she had begun it, with a win through Elkær Stutteri’s Lexington Avenue (Jimmy Creed), who after a break of more than a year made a comeback with a comfortable triumph ahead of Sandie Kjær’s Cool Your Jazz (Mastercraftsman) and Marie Løgtved’s Camar (Advertise).
