Aalborg Væddeløbsbane staged on Wednesday evening the four races that had been postponed from Monday. The duo of Torben Christensen and Melissa Vesterholm both opened and closed the day with a victory, and in addition the Lea Olsen-trained Let’s Go Filip took his third successive win.
Trainer Torben Christensen and apprentice Melissa Vesterholm set off in the first qualifying division of the Spar Nord Arena Aalborg series, where Familien Fruergård’s home-bred Milliondollarbaby (Efesos) won after a battle by a neck from Tina Mortensen’s Meleys (Moohaajim).
Later the duo took another division of the Spar Nord Arena Aalborg series with Ann and Per Meyn’s home-bred Hope (Giant Sandman), who comfortably beat Karsten Johansen’s Totally Convinced (Appel Au Maitre) by four lengths.
In between the two races Let’s Go Filip won yet another division of the Spar Nord Arena Aalborg series for Lea Olsen and Stald KTAS. This time the Mondialiste son was ridden to victory by Diego Pedroza, and it was done comfortably by two lengths from the Birgitte Nielsen-trained Forever Young (Go Go Gadget) with Evelina Rönnlund.
Evelina Rönnlund duly got on the scoreboard in the following contest, where she rode her mentor Tina Mortensen’s The Patriot (Primatico) first past the post in Land og Fritid – Vrå’s Ærespræmie. The Patriot won by a neck from Lea Olsen’s Sir Antonelli (Most Improved) with Diego Pedroza and his stable companion Chadwick (Expert Eye) with Melissa Vesterholm.
